Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Dependency
Juvenile Delinquency
Our office is experienced and fully prepared to represent your child in Juvenile Court if he or she is charged with committing an act that would be considered a crime if done by an adult (Note: In Alabama, this means someone who is 18 years of age or older).
We will fight to make sure that your child is not adjudicated to be a juvenile delinquent when appropriate, or otherwise work toward an appropriate and just result in the Juvenile court.
Juvenile Dependency
Sometimes the State Department of Human Resources (DHR) acting on a report of alleged child abuse or neglect, takes action to remove a child from the parents' home and place the child in shelter care or a foster home. In extreme cases, the DHR may even seek to permanently terminate the rights of the natural parent or parents to the child, and place the child up for adoption.
At Blanchard Law Offices, we have represented children and parents in hundreds of such cases over many years, including cases in which we have served as guardians for the children.
